IN MEMORIAM

Richard Henry "Murph" Murphy, Jr.
January 25, 2023

NOTE FROM PRESIDENT BOB MORRISSEY: On a sad note on this July 4, I must announce the passing of a long time Chapter Member and a long time friend of mine Richard H. (Murph) Murphy this past January. If anyone would like to see the Obituary it can be found here: Link to Obituary.

CSM Robert M. Delia
March 20, 1931 - January 11, 2023

CSM Bob Delia was interred next to his beloved previously-deceased wife Joan on March 26, 2023 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Pepperell MA. It was a sunny and mild but very windy day, providing a challenge for flag-bearers (from the Pepperell VFW Post #3291 where CSM Delia was a member) and flag-folders (SMAJ's long-time friends and comrades Dave McCallister and Ralph Metivier). The ceremony was well-attended and everything he could have wanted for a send-off from his many friends and comrades, including a Rifle Detail from the Hollis, NH VFW Post 11373 and the Brookline, NH American Legion Post 74. Thanks to them all for their appearances. Click here for the Graveside Service Program (courtesy of LTC(Ret)Gregory d'Arbonne). Pictures have been added to our PHOTOS page. Fisher House Boston

The Fisher House program is a unique private-public partnership that supports America's military in their time of need. Supply chain issues have hit us along with everybody else! We have limited amounts of items and are not sure when we will be able to get more.

Also, we must stop paying shipping charges — and are very sorry about that. Email Bob Morrissey to ask what's still available.
